Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy Guidelines:
In accordance with UGC and Supreme Court guidelines, Mayong Zonal College established an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell (ASHC), also known as the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), on June 12, 2016, to provide a healthy and conducive environment for college staff and students. The Cell has guidelines and norms to advocate zero tolerance for sexual harassment. The College has tasked this Cell with developing principles and procedures to prevent sexual harassment. The Cell develops measures to achieve gender equality in the College and address gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and other acts of gender-based violence by organizing various awareness programs and campaigns. The Cell's detailed guidelines are provided below:

Composition of Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell/Internal Complaints Committee:
The Committee will be headed by the Principal of the College, who will be designated as the “Chairperson”.
The Cell will consist of three senior female faculty members of the College, one senior male faculty member of the College, and a nominated female student representative. The Committee will include the IQAC Coordinator as a member of the Cell. The Committee will include parents of female students of the College. Objectives: The objectives of the Committee are to: Prevent discrimination against women and sexual harassment Ensure a harassment-free environment in the Institute Resolve any complaints of harassment Ensure the overall well-being of the students and staff of the College Organize gender sensitivity awareness programs Organize gender-related legal awareness programs Powers of the Committee: 1. The Committee will have the power to summon witnesses and seek documents or any information from any employee/student. 2. The Committee will have the power to recommend action against anyone found guilty of sexual harassment, retaliation/victimization, and making false allegations of sexual harassment against an accused person. Functions of the Committee:
1. Ensuring that the complaint filing system is secure, accessible and responsive.
2. To take cognizance of complaints regarding sexual harassment, conduct investigations, provide relief and redressal to the victims, recommend punishment and take action against the harasser, if necessary.
3. If the complainant consents, the competent authority may issue a warning or advise the harasser to seek legal recourse to stop the harassment.
4. Seeking medical, police and legal intervention with the consent of the complainant.
5. To arrange for appropriate psychological, emotional and physical support to the victim, if he wishes.
