INTERNAL COMPLAIN COMITTEE (ICC)

The POSH Act, 2013 and the University Grants Commission (Prevention, Prevention and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Act, 2015 mandate the formation of an Internal Committee (IC) or Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in every college. The main objective behind the formation of the committee is to address any complaint of discriminatory behaviour/harassment reported by any member of the college (teaching, non-teaching and student) and also to recommend necessary remedial action.
